Workshop 1

Building Data-Centric AI and Signal Processing Applications for Industrial Innovation

In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI), certain fields such as autonomous driving, speech recognition, and machine translation have seen exponential growth due to the availability of large datasets and extensive research. Improvements in these areas are driven primarily by investments in ever more complex machine learning and deep learning models. However, the scenario is markedly different in the realm of industrial signal processing applications, where challenges around scarcity and noise levels of available data, rarity of tailored AI models, and gaps in AI expertise abound.

This talk delves into the transformative potential of data-centric AI workflows, particularly when combined with domain-specific signal processing knowledge. Using code-based examples we will highlight how such approaches can not only enhance model performance but also pave the way for the broader adoption of AI in real-world industrial applications.

Through an array of practical examples with MATLAB & Simulink, this presentation aims to equip professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to harness data-centric AI for signal processing, ensuring they are well-positioned to tackle the unique challenges of industrial applications.

Workshop 2

A. Medical Image Analysis and AI Workflows in MATLAB

Medical images come from multiple sources such as MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and PET/SPECT. The challenge is to visualize and analyse this multi-domain image data to extract clinically meaningful information and conduct other tasks such as training AI models. MATLAB provides tools and algorithms for end-to-end medical image analysis and AI workflows – I/O, 3D visualization, segmentation, labelling and analysis of medical image data. This webinar shows the complete medical image analysis workflow for AI applications. You will learn how to import visualize, segment and label medical image data and utilize these data in AI model training

B. AI/ML Empowered 5G and 6G Technologies with Radio Network Planning

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are expected to be a key part of 5G and 6G technologies. To enable a new range of technologies with maximum coverage, predictive maintenance a proper network planning tool would be required. This roadmap integrates both the technical aspects of antenna design and deployment with advanced AI/ML techniques for continuous improvement in network performance. Emphasizing the synergy between advanced simulation tools and AI/ML will provide a comprehensive view of how to achieve optimal network performance in future technologies. Engaging the audience with practical examples and interactive discussions can also enhance understanding and interest in these emerging trends.
